Badge #3: Ars Poetica

This badge is from my ENG 118 Online course. It’s a good example of a “blended” lesson (one that uses short video lectures and text).

Below are screenshots from Moodle and links to the videos.

Rhetoric Primer
Designed to be an accessible introduction to rhetoric, this open access Google Doc is a living text with explanatory pieces on classical, contemporary, digital, and visual rhetoric.

The radical, committed to human liberation, does not become the prisoner of a 'circle of certainty' within which reality is also imprisoned. On the contrary, the more radical the person is, the more fully he or she enters into reality so that, knowing it better, he or she can better transform it.

Paulo Freire, Pedagogy of the Oppressed
(translated by Myra Bergman Ramos)
